2013 End of Year Reflection

Senior Fun day

On Monday we had a senior syndicate Monday Fun day most of the activities involved water so we got wet.  The  activities were bouncy castle, slip and slide, wet relay, energize games, cricket, sling shot and best of all  children vs Adults water  fight. For lunch we had hot chips La-Eeqah,Aria,Manaia and  me were  like hungess pigs, we were so hungry from doing fun activities. My favourite  activity was slip and slide this fun day was worth working to get 100 class dojo points.

Mad sciencetest day

On Friday we had a mad scincetest day there were  lots of experiments like Glowing water , gravity free water ,coke and mentos, lava lamps , flying tea bags. My experiment was Glowing water  my experiment didn't work as plan  but some other experiments  did it was fun  doing and watching experiment  mad scincetest day.

Ooblick experiment

On Monday we  did a slimey experiment with ooblick the indigents  were cornflour, water, dish washing liquid to wash your hands. The steps were add one cup of flour,  half a cup of water only adding  a little bit at a time.  Mix with your hands while adding the indigents. When we finished mixing we all tried our own experiments like making it into a ball letting it melt in your hand sit was very fun making ooblick.
 

BikeWise

On Thursday and Friday we had Bike Wise. On Day 1 bike wise  people brought their bikes for nothing because we were  learn road rules before we start biking. On Day 2 we had to start off  practicing hand signals then do it for real we used a fake road and then got to practice going around roundabouts it was really fun doing Bike wise next year I hope we get to do it again.

Assembly

On Friday Room15  did an a assembly for the whole school I was a mad scientist        so  I  was  attractive to people  we had lots of fun singing and dancing to music.

Rippa rugby

The vardon school seniors  have been doing  Rippa rugby  with a coach that does Rippa  rugby  he talt us all we need to know about Rippa rugby like :  chatch and parce , learning the rules and lots more.

speeches

On Monday I presented my speech to Room 15.  My  result was 84.  This years speech result was better than last years  because I got a better result.  I have achieved a lot so I'm more confident  than ever.

  

Presentation

On Friday Ashlynne Ashlee and me did some researh  on Diwali   Ashlynne was doing history Ashlee did food I did patterns  we put  our facts on a glogster with colourful  backgrounds ang crazy texts  we enjoyed making our rangoli  for our presentation what we found challenging was writing about what we are going to say about  our glogster and doing it with only  two people in our groupbut we got through it .

cross country

On friday we had cross country but I was only walking because I had a sling on. It took a long time to get to the finesh line because it was a big field. I had to go up hills, go down hills trying to not step in mud puddles.The thing I found difficult was walking up the steep hills.

buddy Reading

For buddy reading  its going good my buddy Shelbgy is improving alot
we love drinking milk well reading  its really fun doing buddy reading.

Cross country training

For cross country  I set a a goal  to run 50 km I have been running  9 laps of the feild  I feel
like i working well to reach my goal.

Im felling nervous for cross country.

The rusty gate

THE RUSTY GATE

Once there was a rusty gate creek and behind that gate there was a garden a beautiful  garden  but  another garden took place 

Everyone respect the garden so much they forgot about the garden and rusty gate except

For one person sunny she felt sad for the gate and   garden so she upgraded  the garden and cleaned the gate and painted  it purple soon 10  birds came then 2 deers next 7 bunnys then the whole town but what about water in the pond for fish  and now the rusty gate is happy  so is sunny and everyone is happy now.

Trashion show reflection

In this whole term we were buddied up with Room 10 to make our waste to wow costume.  Our costume was inspired by a circus tent we learnt a lot of designing skills the most challenging for  my group and me was putting the foam on the dress. We modified our hat to make it stronger. While we were learning, one of our goals was keeping the flag still while hot gluing it together. I was the spokesman Shai-anne was the model and Jordiss, Ashlee and Maggie and Ocean were the performers we had a great experience making our costume cirtenta.

If la-eeqah baked 200 pizza for  Zaynes birthday and Room  15  ate 20 pizza's and  and Room14 ate 40 pizza's,  Room12 ate 30 and Room13 ate10 how much are left for the teachers?

If Miss Workman  bought  in 3 bags of 10 pack mini chips  and Manaia in 5 bags of 10 pack mini chips how much individual bags of chips do they have altogether?

Caving

Caving looks like a tight squeeze looking like you won't even make it .

Caving feels like iky mud pulling you down to the bottom of the world. 


Caving smells like a fresh summer breeze.


Caving sounds like feet stomping in the mud.



Caving tastes like a muddy breeze.

Camp karariki

On 12 of  march  room 15  &  room 14 went  to  camp karariki. On the day we got there it was very exhausting   because we  hike all the  way to the over night camp site  then hiked  up a big hill  but we got to swim in a watering hole.

Then on Wednesday  we went rock climbing  and  caving  rock climbing   was hard for  me because my shoe keep  on slippy off the rock. 
Then we  went  caving I went on easy  it was very cold and exciting  and muddy  caving was my  favourite activity of the day.

On Thursday  did kayaking ,p.e,shooting,archery,tree climbing,swimming,BMW. 
  
On  Friday  it was our last day so we went to raglan to have a scavenger hunt  and have a swim  some of the parents jumped off the bridge  the water was cold  but I got used to it  the water was salty  till it was time to leave   I  was happy to be home  but next I will go there.

In the morning we go to the pool  to learn how to swim  my team & me learn how to  do freestyle we all have goals in free style my goal is to keep my arms like an arrow.


Our  second  task was back stroke  back stroke its a bit hard for me because I have to have an arch back;.
But one day I will get it.


Our third task is breathe stroke its one off the easiest  ones for me its my favorite of all  I  love it because it looks like a frog swimming.
